Culinary Recommendations

Whether you prefer a traditional greek dish in a laid back taverna, ethnic food or a fine dining experience in an elegant restaurant, these are some of our recommendations to ensure that you visit only the best!

Traditional Tavernas

Paros has lots of Ouzeries/Tavernas where you can enjoy delicious mezedes and sea food along with your favourite greek drinks and especially Parian wine and souma. Recommended: "Tsachpinis" and ‘’Glafkos” at Naousa, ‘’Thalami’’ and ''Christiana'' at Ambelas, ‘’Chalaris’’ and ‘’Markakis’’ at Piso Livadi are excellent examples of that, as you can get to enjoy fresh sea food, tasty appetizers and drinks while being literally in front of the sea, enjoying its breeze and scents. Inside the alleys of Naousa you can visit ‘’Vangelis’’ a typical greek ouzeri serving delicious, home-cooked mezedes and dishes and ''Kapari''.

Modern Mediterranean Cuisine

In addition to traditional dishes you can also try dishes with modern elements in elegant restaurants. Recommended: ‘’Siparos’’ ,located in front of Xifara beach is definitely a must for the quality food lovers. In Siparos you can try dishes based on Mediterranean tastes and local recipes with a modern twist, resulting in creative and unique flavor combinations, all while looking at the idyllic sunset. ‘’Deck’’ ,located in Naousa overlooking Piperi beach. Deck serves fine dishes that incorporate the Cycladic and Mediterranean cooking tradition in a creative way.

Ethnic

Paros also has several ethnic food restaurants where you can taste dishes inspired by different cuisines from all over the world. Recommended: The Little Green Rocket, located in Parikia, is an oriental-mediterranean fusion restaurant serving classic Asian dishes and many more, with a view of Parikia’s shore. Magaya located in Parikia is a multiethinc restaurant serving dishes from the Chinese, Thai and Mediterranean cuisines, in a very elegant and exotic decorated space with a wonderful view of the sea. Nami is a hidden gem located in Parikia. It is a traditional Japanese & Chinese dine-in/take away restaurant serving sushi and other Japanese/Chinese dishes with a view of the Parikia bay.

Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we want to make sure that you’ll be having the best, by recommending the best breakfast/brunch spots. Naoussa and Parikia are full of cafes serving breakfast and brunch, with the cafes ‘’Kiranos’’, ‘’Almond’’, ‘’Sousouro’’ and ''Karino'' at Naoussa and ‘’Distrato’’ at Parikia standing out. If you want a quiet place to have your breakfast away from big crowds you can visit ‘’Ramnos’’ at Lefkes. Lastly if you would like to have breakfast with a nice sea view you can visit ‘’Cactus’’ at Piso Livadi and ‘’Cosa’’ at Parikia.
